TEDxUCCI StoryCorps Challenge

One of the things we love about TED is that attendees are more than just audience members expected to listen to the speakers and ask a question or two. Ideas flow in multiple directions throughout the event… there are social media conversations and threads, discussions and interactive activities.

This year, a new challenge has been issued for TEDxYouth 2015 attendees to participate in the TEDxYouth StoryCorps Challenge. Basically, participants are being asked to post interviews illustrating what jobs have looked like in the past and present, and projections of how these same jobs might transform in the future.

TEDxUCCI is putting its own spin on the challenge with questions that urge people to reflect upon various facets of their past and their present whilst also encouraging them to create mental pictures of what their future looks like.

To prepare for this exciting activity, all TEDxUCCI Youth attendees can download the StoryCorps app on their Android or IOS devices and practice doing interviews.

Share your interviews with us on the TEDxUCCI Facebook page and on Twitter by using the hashtags, #TEDxUCCI and #MadeInTheFuture. You can also send the the direct link via email to ksanchez@ucci.edu.ky.

Looking forward to connecting with you all on Saturday!

  1. Hi Kim,

I finally had the 10 minutes it took to write a short post. ☹
I tried but couldn’t edit the header on the Blog where it mentions the event date for the TEDxUCCI: Fearless event in April. Can you kindly make the update for TEDxUCCI Youth?
    Thanks so much!
